The Divine Mercy Chaplet; A Prayer for Poland

Filed under: Religion — mikecgannon @ 5:59 PM

When I started this, I set out to write something, if not deeply profound, than at least something that might serve to pay respect to the fallen leaders of Poland, a great American ally, and to draw attention to the life and legacy of a wonderful Polish saint, Saint Maria Faustina Kowalska, and the gift of the Divine Mercy Chaplet, and the Feast of Divine Mercy (which fell yesterday, the day following the plane crash at Katyn).

I find now that the words are just not there, so I leave you with simply a heartfelt request to say a prayer, especially the Divine Mercy Chaplet, for the people of Poland and the souls of those who died at Katyn, both on Saturday and in 1943.

Information on Saint Faustina and all aspects of the Divine Mercy Devotion is at EWTN.

If you would like to further explore the life of Saint Maria Faustina Kowalska, read Divine Mercy In My Soul, her diary.

Pax.
